Solution Architect – Industrial IoT & Azure (12-Month Contract | Remote – India)Work on a true greenfield project where your architectural decisions directly shape a large-scale industrial IoT platform. This is a rare opportunity to own the architecture of a next-generation telemetry solution that will ingest and process real-time data from heavy industrial equipment across multiple remote sites. This isn’t “maintain what exists” — this is design it from scratch.Remote role (Sydney time zone - flexible overlap)INR 250K - 300K / month12 month contract (Extendable as per project demand)The Opportunity You’ll lead the end-to-end architecture for a cloud-based telemetry ingestion platform built on Microsoft Azure, connecting 1,000+ devices across 20+ locations. Working alongside OT engineers, IT teams, and external vendors, you will define the blueprint and provide architectural governance through implementation. If you're passionate about Azure, industrial IoT, large data pipelines, and designing scalable systems — this project will excite you.What You'll Be DoingDesign the full Azure architecture for telemetry ingestion, processing, storage, and integrationsDevelop architectural documentation including data flows, security, HA requirements, and scalability plansDefine integration patterns between edge gateways, Azure IoT/Event Hub, database layer, and third-party dashboardsProvide architectural oversight during rollout and maintain governance through deliveryEnsure the solution aligns to Azure best practices, security standards, and enterprise requirementsTech Environment You'll Work WithMicrosoft Azure (IoT Hub/Event Hub, networking, monitoring, and additional services based on your design)Time-series data storage (InfluxDB or similar)Edge gateways and industrial telemetry hardwareIntegration with third-party dashboard / visualisation toolsAbout YouYou are a senior architect who thrives on solving complex technical challenges and enjoys being the decision-maker on architecture direction.You’ll succeed in this role if you have:5+ years in cloud/solution architecture (Azure preferred)Strong hands-on experience in Industrial IoT or telemetry/OT environmentsProven design experience with high-throughput data pipelines and time-series databasesSolid understanding of edge computing and networkingAbility to communicate complex designs clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholdersCertification in Azure (Solutions Architect Expert or equivalent experience) is highly advantageous.Interested?Apply now with your CV or portfolio of previous architecture projects.Shortlisted candidates will be contacted for a confidential conversation.
