BDO RISE is hiring for Non-Profit Tax Assistant Manager with experience in moderate and complex tax returns review of 990, 990PF, 990Ts and K1 Analysis.


Job duties will include:

  • Responsible for utilizing research skills, applying tax foundational knowledge to understand potential tax issues, gathering client information necessary for filing.
  • In addition to that they are responsible for managing work received on daily basis and help the Managers and Experienced managers to for proper work allocation.

- Preparation and review of Form 5471, Form 8865 and Form 926

- Tax Training – Off season

- Helping Subordinate (Associate, Experience Associate and Senior Associate)

- Connecting with US Counterpart for Project related Query or Questions

  • Part of Process automation team for standardization of process.
  • Participating in tax planning, recognizing, and communicating potential risks, and working with tax software applications and connecting with technical team to solve technology related issues.


Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting or other relevant field required

· Masters degree in Accounting beneficial, masters degree in taxation preferred



Experience:

· Three (3) to Ten (10) years of prior experience

· Prior required supervisory/managerial experience required.

· Prior return review experience with exempt tax return (Form 990, 990-T, 990-PF & K-1 Analysis and state returns)

· Preparation and review of Form 5471, Form 8865 and Form 926

· Good knowledge of accounting skills including trial balance and journal entries and AFS and other client workpapers.

· Good Knowledge of financial statements and the underlying supporting workpapers.

· Good experience in software.



Software:

· Experience with Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook), and Adobe Acrobat

· Experience in all tax compliance process software including GoFileRoom, GoSystemRS, Caseware, Prosystems, or comparable programs and standard tax workpapers and E forms.



Other Knowledge, Skills Abilities:

· Solid verbal and written communication skills

· Ability to review moderate/Complex tax returns.

· Takes appropriate actions without being asked.

· Seeks advice of appropriate superiors regarding issues, problems related to compliance.

· Ability to effectively delegate work as needed.

· Trains other team members

· Strong analytical, research and critical thinking skills

· Ability to work well in a team environment.

· Ability to manage multiple projects under deadline with supervision.

· Direct communication with U.S team.

· Needs to take ownership of engagements worked with.

· Train the juniors.

· Bud. Vs Actual comparison of projects and should communicate to U. S Team.

· Providing feedback to juniors about the work reviewed and make comments on improvement areas.

· Helping managers and above for proper allocation of work.

· Solving technical issues of Juniors.

· Review complex 990T, 990PFs and K1 Analysis and Foreign forms.
