About the Team


Network Design and Planning team leads design of the current and future supply chain networks and facilities to deliver a flexible, customer-centered, omni channel fulfillment infrastructure. Responsible for ensuring long term network capacity that support business and customer needs. Oversees the design and development of advance network design modeling capabilities along with development of annual network service area plans and alignment to optimize current assets, service, and cost.




Job Summary:


The Supply Chain Network Design Lead analyst will be responsible for managing and completing complex network and capacity modeling, both long range and short term, and to govern analytical tool use, processes and procedures to ensure models produce the most accurate outputs. This position will ensure consistent use of data sources across the various network models and work to continuously improve the accuracy and quality of modeling inputs and outputs.




Roles & Responsibilities:

Core Responsibilities:


  • Model the entire Supply Chain network to ensure service and capacity are in place now and in the future including the timing and number of buildings required to meet the needs and balance the flow of product.
  • Develop baseline models, scenarios and greenfields to support future recommendations.
  • Design, build, and maintain network and capacity models for the entire Supply Chain to help identify constraints, support development of new capabilities, and understand network or facility requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal supply chain teams and business stakeholders, using business acumen, to analyze and interpret data required to support network modelling and analytics.
  • Collaborate with internal supply chain teams to identify and align on assumptions used in the model development and maintain facility and network capacities to ensure they are accurate and reflective of current state.
  • Analyze modeling outputs to confirm accuracy and troubleshoot any issues found by reviewing model architecture, inputs or analytical processes.
  • Provide insight and interpretation of the model outputs to leadership including performing sensitivity analysis on network models to identify risk and alternatives and alert leadership to potential shortfalls based upon those sensitivities.
  • Fully document model architecture, data sources and assumptions used so others will know exactly how the model was developed and the inputs collected.
  • Support Supply Chain and other business teams with modeling and analytics in support of strategic initiatives.
  • Develop and utilize a combination of home grown and off the shelf software to execute network and capacity planning and what-if scenarios.



Years of Experience:


Overall 3+ years of Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in modeling principals, tools and data analytics
  • 3+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management, Channel Flow, Replenishment, Transportation and/or Optimization.



Education Qualification & Certifications (optional) Required Minimum Qualifications:


  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Research or Related Field


Skill Set Required


Primary Skills (must have)

  • Experience in or knowledge of Supply Chain network design, planning, and optimization through use of modeling and simulation tools (example: Llamasoft/Supplu Chain guru)
  • Experience modeling and data analytics
  • Experience in creative problem solving
  • Working knowledge of Supply Chain operations
  • Ability to manage and manipulate large data sets for use in analytical tools
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, including the ability to develop analytical documents for presentation to management
