Human Resources Specialist

BookLeaf Publishing is a dynamic, growth-oriented publishing house with a community of 12,000+ published authors and 18,000+ readers. We are committed to innovation in the publishing industry and fostering a productive, engaged work environment.
We're seeking a skilled HR Specialist to join our growing team at our Delhi office. As we continue to expand, we need a dedicated professional to oversee HR operations, recruitment, payroll, and performance reviews, while cultivating a strong company culture and ensuring operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Develop and implement strategies for attracting top talent across all departments.
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, interviews, and candidate selection.
- Design and oversee a comprehensive onboarding program to help new hires integrate seamlessly into the organization.
Performance Management
- Develop and manage performance review processes, including goal-setting, appraisals, and feedback sessions.
- Work closely with department heads to address performance issues and support employee growth.
- Maintain clear documentation for performance evaluations and action plans.
Payroll & Compliance
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll.
- Manage employee records and ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.
- Handle HR reporting, including leave management and attendance tracking.
HR Operations
- Monitor and improve HR processes to ensure efficiency and scalability.
- Collaborate with leadership to plan and execute HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Prepare regular reports on HR metrics for leadership review.
Employee Engagement & Culture
- Create and implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement and job satisfaction.
- Foster a positive workplace culture aligned with our mission and values.
- Organize regular team-building activities and professional development programs.
Ideal Candidate
You are:
- Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
- Proactive and solution-oriented, always looking for ways to improve HR functions.
- Skilled at building strong interpersonal relationships and maintaining confidentiality.
- Passionate about fostering a productive and engaging workplace environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Psychology, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in HR, preferably in an onsite role.
- Strong understanding of recruitment, performance management, payroll, and employee engagement.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in HR software and tools.
- Knowledge of labor laws and HR compliance.
What We Offer
Job Details:
- Full-time, Onsite - Delhi (Jhandewalan)
- Timings: 10 AM to 6 PM, Mon-Fri (Half day and WFH on Saturdays)
- Probation Period: Two months
- Salary: 35-40K Inhand
