Job Position: Cisco Wireless Infrastructure Engineer
Duration: 1 Year + Extendable Contract
Location: Gurugram, Haryana.Work Timings: Monday to Friday (Normal Day Shift)Scope of Work:Plan and design wirelessnetwork layout, includingthe number and placement of access points to ensure optimal coverage and signal strength throughout the designated area.Troubleshoot WLAN Coverage, RF Interference, and Connectivity Issues.Create detailed documentation outlining the network design,configuration details, and security protocols.Wireless Site Survey knowledge- industry best practices and criteria for standard RF survey designs.Experience and high-level expertise in designingsustainable, highly available, wireless infrastructure solutions in a large-scale, multisite environment.Good knowledge and recent experience with current and upcoming wireless RF standards on Wi-Fi, 802.11g, n, ac & Wi-Fi 6 and signal flows (frequency, power-level, channel widths, signal losses etc.).Monitor the performance of the wirelessnetwork, identify, and troubleshoot any connectivity issues, and ensure optimal network performance.Implement and maintain wirelesssecurity measures to safeguard the network from unauthorized access and potential threats.Plan for future networkcapacity needs as the organization's user base or data usage grows. This may involve upgrading network equipment or expanding the wireless network.Design and deploy Guest Wi-Fi solution.Collaborate with different teams to ensure the optimized performance of wireless infrastructure and deploythe wireless accesspoints, configure them according to the design plan, and integrate them with the wired network.Collaborate with vendors to procure the necessary hardwareand software components for the wireless network.Work with the securityteam to evaluate threats, troubleshoot issues, and comply with appropriate security configuration standards of their organizations.Design and deploy changesto the configurations of clientsas per the applicable change management process.Proactively handleall network securitysolutions.Experience:Candidate should be knowledgeable about 802.11 frequencies and protocols.Strong understanding of business management, and leadership principlesAbility to analyzeprocesses and information, identify problems and trends, and develop effective solutions and strategies.Commitment to providing exceptional service to customers and support to staff members.Experience on CiscoISE and DNA Center a plus.Knowledge of Cisco central and flex connectconfigurations.Knowledge of Guest Wi-Fi configuration and setup.Should become adept with wirelesstechnologies, such as Wi-Fi, WiMAX,and WAPNetwork Secure Technologies: AAA, TACACS+, IPSEC,802.1xQualification:Bachelor or higher degree in one of these fields. BE/BTECH/MCA or equivalentCertification:CCNP Wireless or CCIE WirelessAruba Certified Mobility Professional (ACMP) Or equivalent certificate
