Job Description (JD) & Key Result Areas (KRA)Position: Genesist – Genetic Data Analyst / Report SpecialistProject: RhinoGene ProjectDepartment: Clinical Genomics & Scientific ResearchReporting To: Project Director – RhinoGene / Chief GeneticistRole OverviewThe Genesist will be responsible for interpreting, decoding, and summarizing genetic and RNA expression reports for clients and medical partners under the RhinoGene Project. The role requires a strong foundation in human genetics, molecular biology, and genomics, with the ability to convert complex genetic data into clear, client-friendly insights.Key Responsibilities• Analyze and interpret genetic and RNA reports generated by laboratory teams.• Identify genetic variants, mutations, and correlations with relevant phenotypic or clinical conditions.• Prepare summary reports that simplify technical data for non-genetic professionals and clients.• Collaborate with doctors, wellness experts, and functional medicine specialists to integrate genetic insights into personalized health plans.• Maintain accuracy, confidentiality, and scientific integrity of all reports.• Stay updated on emerging genetic markers, bioinformatics tools, and relevant databases.• Work with bioinformatics and diagnostic teams to improve report quality and format.• Ensure compliance with clinical data handling, ethical, and confidentiality protocols.• Assist in building and maintaining a genetic variant interpretation database for RhinoGene.• Participate in internal training sessions and scientific documentation as required.Key Result Areas (KRA) Focus Area Key Metrics / Deliverables Report Accuracy ≥ 98% accuracy in gene report interpretation and variant classification. Turnaround Time (TAT) Reports delivered within defined timelines (e.g., 2–3 working days per case). Quality of Summarization Clarity, scientific accuracy, and readability of summarized reports. Research & Updates Regular updates from latest literature and variant database improvements. Collaboration & Communication Effective coordination with doctors, labs, and bioinformatics teams. Data Confidentiality Zero breaches in confidentiality or data integrity. Continuous Learning Active participation in scientific discussions and knowledge sessions. Reporting Efficiency Timely submission of weekly reports and case logs. Educational Qualification• Minimum: Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc.) in Genetics, Biotechnology, or Molecular Biology.• Preferred: Master’s degree (M.Sc.) in Genetics, Genomics, or Bioinformatics.Experience• 0–3 years of experience in genetic data interpretation, diagnostics, or molecular analysis.• Fresh graduates with strong conceptual understanding may also be considered after training.Skills & Competencies• Strong understanding of human genetics, gene expression, and variant analysis.• Familiarity with genetic databases (ClinVar, dbSNP, HGMD) and genome browsers.• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for report summarization.• Analytical mindset with attention to scientific detail.• Ability to translate complex findings into actionable health insights.• Commitment to confidentiality, precision, and ethical data handling.
