Job Title: Senior Linux Administrator

Work Location: Hyderabad


Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Senior Linux Administrator to join our dynamic team at Vitel Global Communications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Linux administration, monitoring tools, virtualization, and mail server management. You will play a key role in maintaining our VOIP services infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain Linux servers, ensuring high availability and performance.

• Implement and configure monitoring tools to track system performance, availability, and alerts.

• Administer virtualization environments (e.g., VMware, KVM) to optimize resource usage and support scalability.

• Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of mail servers (e.g., Postfix, Exim).

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues and provide technical support to other teams.

• Collaborate with development and network teams to deploy and manage applications.

• Implement backup and disaster recovery solutions to ensure data integrity and availability.

• Document system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps for future reference.

• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to enhance system performance and security.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 5+ years of experience in Linux system administration.

• Strong experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus).

• Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, KVM).

• Proficiency in mail server configuration and management.

• Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols.

• Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation tasks.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
