Role Summary:

We are looking for a talented and creative WordPress Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of user-centered design principles and be able to create intuitive and user-friendly interfaces for WordPress websites. They will also be proficient in WordPress development tools and techniques.

 

Key Tasks & Accountability:


  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, custom WordPress themes and plugins.
  • Ensure website performance, speed, and security through code optimization and best practices.
  • Implement marketing and SEO best practices into website development to improve organic traffic and conversions.
  • Collaborate with designers and marketing teams to translate creative concepts into functional and user-friendly websites.
  • Troubleshoot and debug complex WordPress issues with a focus on finding efficient solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest WordPress trends, plugins, and security updates.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of a content management strategy.
  • Assist with content migration and optimization for existing websites.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a WordPress developer with a strong understanding of PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience building custom WordPress themes and plugins from scratch.
  • A solid understanding of SEO best practices and their implementation within WordPress.
  • Experience with marketing automation tools and content management systems (CMS) a plus.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • A passion for creating user-friendly and responsive websites.
  • A strong understanding of marketing and publishing principles.


Skills:

  • Front-End Development: Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript is essential for building layouts, styling elements, and adding interactivity.
  • PHP & MySQL: These are the core technologies powering WordPress. Understanding PHP allows customization of themes and plugins, while MySQL is the database language used by WordPress.
  • Bootstrap: This popular front-end framework helps build responsive websites that adapt to different screen sizes.
  • Version Control (Git): This is crucial for managing code changes, collaborating with others, and tracking revisions.
  • Plugin Development: The ability to create custom plugins extends WordPress functionality to meet specific needs.
  • SEO (Search Engine Optimization): Understanding SEO best practices helps ensure websites rank well in search results.
  • Security: Keeping WordPress websites secure is vital. Developers should be aware of security vulnerabilities and best practices to mitigate risks.
