Gresham Global is seeking a self-starter and highly motivated professional to represent a leading UK university in South Asia. The successful candidate will play a strategic leadership role, taking full ownership of the university’s regional objectives and driving its growth through student recruitment, academic engagement, institutional partnerships, and brand expansion.This is an important, hands-on, high-impact role for someone who thrives on responsibility, demonstrates leadership, and can work independently as well as collaboratively. You will act as the university’s in-country leader, shaping and executing the regional strategy, strengthening its visibility, and building lasting relationships across South Asia.The Regional Representative will lead the university’s presence in South Asia, driving the regional strategy for student recruitment, partnership development, and academic collaboration. The role combines strategic planning with operational delivery and requires a proactive, results-oriented individual capable of making decisions, taking initiative, and representing the university with professionalism and authority.Key ResponsibilitiesRegional Strategy & LeadershipOwn and drive the university’s regional strategy in South Asia, ensuring alignment with global objectives.Provide leadership in planning and executing recruitment, partnership, and engagement initiatives.Monitor and assess regional performance, recommending strategic adjustments to enhance outcomes.Student Guidance & CounsellingGuide prospective students from initial enquiry to enrolment, offering advice on programmes, entry requirements, and pathways.Maintain ongoing engagement and follow-ups to maximise student conversion and satisfaction.Event Representation & OutreachRepresent the university at recruitment fairs, school visits, virtual sessions, and other promotional events.Plan and coordinate faculty visits, senior delegation trips, and informational sessions to ensure high-impact outcomes.Promote the university’s programmes, values, and regional brand.Partnership Development & Stakeholder EngagementIdentify, develop, and sustain partnerships with universities, research institutions, government bodies, and other key stakeholders.Facilitate collaborative initiatives such as joint programmes, exchanges, and research projects.Build lasting relationships with alumni, institutional partners, and regional stakeholders to expand the university’s network.Agent & Partner ManagementManage educational agents, local institutes, and recruitment partners to align with the university’s objectives.Monitor partner performance, provide guidance, training, and ensure compliance with policies.Collaborate with partners on promotional campaigns and student engagement initiatives.Marketing, Communications & Digital EngagementSupport regional marketing campaigns and outreach strategies to enhance visibility and attract high-quality applicants.Contribute to social media content and digital engagement initiatives aligned with recruitment and partnership goals.Data Management & ReportingMaintain accurate records of student interactions, applications, event leads, and follow-ups.Prepare detailed reports on recruitment, partnerships, and market insights with actionable recommendations.Conduct market research to monitor trends, policy changes, and emerging opportunities within South Asia education sector.Operational & Administrative SupportCoordinate logistics for events, visits, and meetings, ensuring smooth execution and professional representation.Provide administrative support to the regional team to enable seamless operations.Travel & FlexibilityRegular travel across India is required, including evenings and weekends, to attend fairs, events, meet partners, and engage stakeholders.Ability to adapt work hours and travel schedules to achieve regional objectives and deliver results.Core CompetenciesStrategic Leadership: Proven ability to drive the university’s vision and implement its regional strategy effectively.Ownership & Accountability: Demonstrated experience in leading initiatives, taking responsibility for outcomes, and delivering measurable results.Stakeholder Engagement: Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with students, partners, institutional stakeholders, and government representatives.Influence & Representation: Skilled at influencing decision-making and representing the university at senior levels and public-facing events.Operational Excellence: Strong organisational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities, projects, and events simultaneously.Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, able to engage diverse audiences with professionalism and clarity.Qualifications & ExperienceProven ability to drive the university’s vision and regional strategy with accountability and purpose.Demonstrated capacity to lead initiatives, manage multiple stakeholders, and deliver measurable outcomes.Strong understanding of international higher education systems, student recruitment, and partnership development in South Asia.Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience in international education, marketing, or institutional relations.A postgraduate degree (preferably from the UK or another international institution) is desirable.Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence diverse audiences.Competence in data-driven decision-making, reporting, and CRM management.Willingness to travel extensively across India and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends during key recruitment periods.Location: Chembur, Mumbai. This is a full-time, office-based position with extensive travel required during peak student recruitment periods including weekends.
