As a DevOps Engineer with 5-7 years of experience, you'll play a pivotal role in crafting and implementing DevOps practices, processes, and tools to streamline software development, testing, and deployment. Your primary focus will be bridging the gap between development and operations teams, ensuring seamless collaboration and adoption of continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) practices. You'll be tasked with designing and deploying scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure and automation solutions to facilitate swift and dependable software delivery.


Responsibilities:

  • Design and optimize CI/CD pipelines: Automate build, test, and deployment processes to facilitate rapid and reliable software releases.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Implement IaC principles to automate cloud resource provisioning and management using Terraform.
  • Configuration Management: Utilize Ansible for configuration management across various environments.
  • Monitoring and Logging: Implement monitoring and logging solutions using Grafana and Prometheus to ensure system performance and expedite troubleshooting.
  • Security and Compliance: Enforce security best practices and regulatory compliance throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with development teams: Provide guidance and support to development teams in adopting DevOps practices.
  • Evaluate and recommend tools: Stay updated with industry best practices and research new DevOps tools and technologies.
  • Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in applications and infrastructure.
  • Documentation and Training: Create comprehensive documentation and conduct training sessions for knowledge sharing.


Skill Sets and Basic Requirement:

  • Experience in Linux administration and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services.
  • Experience in any programming language, such as shell scripting or Python.
  • Experience in setting up containers and its orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • CI/CD automation using Jenkins.
  • IAC using Terraform.
  • Configuration management tools: Ansible.
  • Monitoring Tools: Grafana, Prometheus.
  • Strong understanding of networking, security, and infrastructure architecture.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.


Work Experience/ Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of experience in software/product development, with substantial hands-on experience in DevOps.

Educational Background: B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, M.Tech, or MCA
