Job Summary:


The ideal candidate will be responsible for auditing loans underwritten by credit officers to ensure compliance with bank policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements. This involves reviewing loan applications, assessing documentation accuracy, verifying lending criteria, and identifying any discrepancies.


Responsibilities:

âś” Analyzing customer financial positions, employment history, credit history, and ability to repay.

✔ Understanding and applying the 4 C’s of Credit effectively.

âś” Ensuring compliance with regulatory and company guidelines.

âś” Assessing credit risk and determining loan approval/decline decisions.

âś” Applying lending/credit policy, mortgage insurance guidelines, and risk assessment principles.

âś” Communicating with external stakeholders, including Brokers/Lenders.

âś” Demonstrating strong customer-centric communication skills.

âś” Creditworthiness Evaluation

âś” Income Verification

âś” Risk Analysis

âś” Property Valuation Review

âś” Reviewing Loan-to-Value Ratio (LVR)

âś” Approval or Declination of Loans

âś” Fraud Detection


Skills & Qualifications:

âś” Knowledge of Responsible Lending Obligations

âś” Understanding of APRA and ASIC regulations

âś” Strong analytical and financial assessment skills

âś” Excellent attention to detail and time management

âś” Effective communication & stakeholder management skills

âś” Experience with lending policies & procedures

âś” Experience with KYC process


Qualification & Experience:


🎓 Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in any field.

đź’Ľ Experience: 2+ years in core Mortgage Underwriting in Australian, USA, or UK mortgage domains.

đź’ˇ Must-have: Strong understanding of Australian, US, or UK lending regulations.

âś… Added Advantage: Candidates with strong communication experience with onshore clients will have an edge.
