The ideal candidate is responsible for the coordination and execution of account reconciliations, budget compilation, and backup to the accounts payable function.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing process for complex legal entities, including quality reviews.
  • Prepare statutory reporting.
  • Prepare corporate income tax calculations and entries.
  • Manage the group, statutory, and tax audits of the entities in scope, including liaising with external auditors.
  • Liaise with the other finance departments, namely Business Finance, Credit Control, corporate accounting, and Tax compliance teams.
  • Act as contact person with local service providers and resolve issues as required.
  • Acts as subject matter expert.
  • Any other ad hoc tasks Functional Skills and capabilities:
  • Fluent in English both written and spoken.
  • Has a "can-do" attitude, pro-active, flexible mind-set
  • High level of accounting knowledge
  • Working knowledge of key systems (MS Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, Tally, QuickBooks, NetSuite, etc.) is essential.
  • Can work in a dynamic environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Possess analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to make sound and independent judgments. Required


Qualifications


  • CPA or CA degree
  • 5+ years of relevant accounting or auditing experience in a multinational company • Process automation experience and thinking preferable. US or Foreign Direct Tax Compliance or Tax Provision (Any other tax-related experience can be reviewed)
  • Advanced Excel skills - Able to create Excel models/automation (querying, generating and understanding complex formulas, debugging)
  • Visualization ( Tableau, Power BI)
  • Optional: Excel VBA (macro), Python, SQL Skills
  • Should have major experience in direct taxation with good in Excel, VBA/Python is good to have Dashboarding skills like Tableau/Power BI is highly preferred
  • Excellent in communication as they will be working with the US team
  • 60% taxation and 40% technology experience Shift - 1 pm-11 pm - cab will be there

  • Knowledge and prior exposure to international entities, foreign currency, and inter-company transactions
  • Extensive knowledge of tax legislative requirements locally, and in international jurisdictions
  • Academic Qualifications and Certifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in accounting or related Required Experience:
  • Advanced demonstrated experience gained in a similar position
  • Advanced demonstrated experience gained within the Finance function of a similar information technology environment Skills in Summary Accounting Reconciliation, Accounting Software, Financial Auditing, Financial Controlling, Financial Procedures, Financial Processes, and accountability for financial forecasting processes.
  • Reconciles accounts, resolving discrepancies, and collaborate across various finance and non-finance functions.
  • Responsible for analyzing journals, producing data analysis and reports and assists with variance analysis.
  • Responsible for the assembly of the annual audit information for external auditors.
  • As a partner in the accounting process, recommends how to improve efficiency using automation. Analyses past performance financial data and prepares budgets and forecasts for business unit management.
  • Implements effective financial controls, including systems reconciliations and ensuring the integrity of reported figures.
