Job Summary:
As a Fabric Bag Pattern Maker, you will be responsible for creating detailed patterns for new bag designs that align with our brand’s aesthetic and quality standards. This role requires a deep understanding of fabric characteristics, cutting techniques, and industry-leading design practices.
Responsibilities:
Develop and construct patterns for new fabric bag designs from concept to final approval.
Collaborate with the design team to interpret design concepts and translate them into workable patterns.
Adjust and refine patterns based on trial fittings and feedback from the design and production teams.
Create detailed specifications for each pattern, including materials, construction details, and dimensions.
Maintain an organized library of patterns for current and future use.
Work closely with the production team to ensure patterns are optimized for manufacturability.
Stay updated with the latest trends in bag design and pattern-making technology.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Pattern Maker in the fashion or textile industry, specifically with fabric bags.
Strong knowledge of pattern-making software (e.g., Gerber, Lectra) and manual pattern-making techniques.
Excellent understanding of fabric properties and behavior during the bag-making process.
Creative flair and an eye for detail in translating design concepts into practical patterns.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Diploma or degree in Fashion Design, Textile Technology, or a related field is preferred.
