Job Shift: Evening (1.30pm to 10.30pm)


We are seeking an experienced and passionate Azure Cloud Engineer to join our company. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing our IT infrastructure to help plan and deploy our ongoing cloud migration. You will also oversee the migration process and design, maintain and monitor the new system, as well as configuring hybrid connectivity between on-site systems and the cloud environment. You will also develop policy-driven data protection best practices to ensure that cloud solutions are protected from data loss. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of technical skills and leadership ability, with the communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with other members of the IT team.


Typical Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and administer the Microsoft Azure cloud environment, including provisioning, configuration, performance monitoring, policy governance and security
  • Migrate existing infrastructure services to cloud-based solutions
  • Design, develop, and implement highly available, multi-region solutions within Microsoft Azure
  • Analyze existing operational standards, processes, and/or governance to identify and implement improvements
  • Manage security and access controls of cloud-based solutions
  • Develop infrastructure as code (IaC) leveraging cloud native tooling to ensure automated and consistent platform deployments
  • Develop and implement policy driven data protection best practices to ensure cloud solutions are protected from data loss
  • Support cloud adoption of applications as they are being transformed and/or modernized
  • Ensure all infrastructure components meet proper performance and capacity standards
  • Participate, address and resolve technical escalations that arise out side the office hours


Required Skills and Experience:

  • 2+ years of Microsoft Azure experience involving design, deployment, configuration and optimization
  • 2+ years of experience with IaaS and PaaS solutions
  • 3+ years of experience as System Engineer working on Hyper-V VM, Windows Server, IIS server
  • Azure Cloud Certifications
  • Experience working with migrating on-prem systems to Azure cloud based on best cloud practices
  • Experience working with supporting MS SQL Server systems
  • Experience in the design and operation of medium to large scale enterprise infrastructure, databases and application systems
  • Experience working within an Agile framework
  • Experience in IaC development with Terraform, ARMS, Azure CLI
  • Experience scripting with Perl, Python and PowerShell
  • Proficient with GIT to perform source code management
  • Experience with Terraform Cloud, Azure DevOps and Bitbucket pipeline
  • Competence in a wide range of IT skills including networking, systems administration, data protection, information security and CI/CD tooling
  • Enthusiastic learner with the ability to teach and mentor teammates and cross functional partners
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a keen attention to detail
