Insight Global is seeking an SQL Engineer for one of their premier financial services clients in Bengaluru. This person will be expected to uunderstand the Loyalty and Benefits domain and how it powers the experience for the client's customer. He or she will learn and support the legacy applications and modern platforms to develop a deep understanding of all functional workflows. The engineer will work closely with product owners and/or other technology counterparts globally, participate in agile development processes including sprint planning, stand-ups, demos and retrospectives and co-ordinate delivery of the project across global teams. This role offers a flexible, hybrid working model with an option to work from home up to two days/week. This is a long-term contract role and would require a candidate to start within 30 days. Must Haves: Professional experience in Oracle developmentProficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and UNIXProven expertise in writing and executing SQL queries and developing PL/SQL procedures and functionsExperience with Oracle Forms and WeblogicExperience with Performance Tuning: Optimizing database performance, including query optimization and resource allocationTroubleshooting skills: Identifying and resolving environment issues, including performance problems and errorsExperience with performing database migrations and/or upgradesExpertise with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and/or other cloud platformsScripting and Automation skills: Experience using scripting languages (e.g., Python, unix, Java) to automate tasks and improve efficiencyAbility to independently work with product and business to gather requirements, design and implement solutionsPluses:STAR experience is preferredKnowledge of Loyalty/Rewards and Credit card industry
