Job Brief:



Raphe’s Electronics division is seeking an Analog & Power Electronics Design Engineer, who’d be a self-starter, and team player, and has the ability to work cohesively within the engineering team on-site. Sounds interesting? Come, and join us on this incredible journey

Required Skills:



  • Experience working with 32-bit microcontrollers.
  • Experience in DC-DC power supply design using buck, boost, and flyback topologies.
  • Familiar with high-power AC- DC and DC-DC power supply-based flyback, LLC, push-pull, half-bridge, and dual active bridge topologies.
  • Experience with power factor correction techniques for chargers.
  • Familiar with the concepts of active rectification.
  • Experience with charging profiles for li-lon, and li-po batteries for 6s, 12s, 16s, and 24s configuration of cells.
  • Experience with the transformer design and calculations for said topologies.
  • Familiar with high voltage up to 1000V DC to low voltage 50V DC conversion design proficiency.
  • Knowledge of analog electronics components - transistors, mosfets, IGBTs, buck and boost converters, linear regulators, opamps, etc.
  • Good understanding of the layout guidelines for power and signals to meet the EMI/EMC compliance as per mil and automotive levels.
  • Understanding of different analog sensors like VRS, thermocouples, and thermistors.
  • Familiar with high-current control circuits for engine control units.
  • Efficient in the calculation of switching and power conversion circuits.
  • Knowledge of the peripherals– ADC, DAC, TIMER, PWM, SPI, SDIO, UART, I2C, PLL, CAN, RS232, RS485, and their debugging skills.
  • Knowledge of ECAD tools like altium, capture CIS, and Allegro PCB editor.
  • Expertise in circuit simulation using Pspice or equivalent tools.
  • Hands-on experience in carrying out board bring-up and design verification testing.
  • Hands-on experience with DSO, power supplies, current probes, data loggers, power analyzers, etc.
  • Knowledge of filter design for sensor data.
  • Knowledge of system integration testing.
  • Familiar with the layout practices to mitigate EMC/EMI issues.
  • Experience with the protection circuitries to mitigate the impact of EMC on power and signals.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with others.



Desired Skills:



  • Experience with ASIL B / ASIL D systems.
  • Experience with li-po, and li-lon chargers for up to 2kw.
  • Experience with electronics speed controllers for BLDC motors.
  • Knowledge of the PDLC documentation.
  • Experience with PLM software.
  • Familiarity with electronics for use in extreme temperature, shock, and vibration environments is desirable.
  • Hands-on experience with spectrum analyzers and VNA.
  • Knowledge of compliance and certifications for automotive/ mil grade products.
  • Experience in circuit design techniques to have good EMI/EMC performance of design.
  • Familiar with the mass production process, ICT (FPT), and functional testing.




As an Analog & Power Electronics Design Engineer, you will:



  • Be responsible for designing DC-DC power supplies for varied ratings.
  • Be responsible for the development of the li-po li-lon charger’s AC-DC design.
  • Be responsible for the development of cutting-edge power management and monitoring systems like BMS, PMIC, and similar.
  • Define and run simulations and analysis (e.g., power, logic, and performance) on design documents and utilize results to improvise the designs.
  • Collect requirements and create engineering documentation.
  • Select critical components that meet product specifications.
  • Design schematics in ECAD tools – Altium or CAD capture.
  • Be familiar with design analysis like derating analysis, WCCA, CFMEA, DFMEA, thermal analysis, power budget etc.
  • Be responsible for product development life cycle documentation.
  • Prepare PCB layout guidelines and work closely with the PCB team in reviewing the layout.
  • Be familiar with the DFM, DFA, and DFT guidelines.
  • Prepare test plans for board and design verification followed by testing and reports to test the hardware in accordance with the requirements or specifications.



Degree and Experience:




  • B.E., B.Tech or M.Tech in Electrical/Electronics engineering or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of related work experience in Analog & Power Electronics Designing.
