Job Description:


We are seeking an exceptional Lead Product Designer - UI/UX with extensive experience in leading product design teams and delivering user-centric, visually stunning products. As the Lead Product Designer - UI/UX, you will play a pivotal role in driving the design vision and strategy, while also managing a team of talented designers. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and stakeholders, to ensure alignment and delivery of exceptional products that exceed user expectations.

What You'll Do


  • Lead Design Projects: Oversee experience design projects that drive positive change across one or more product teams.
  • Create Design Solutions: Build wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs using best-in-class UI frameworks and design systems to address complex UX challenges.
  • Collaborate Across Functions: Work closely with cross-functional teams to create strategic and impactful experience roadmaps.
  • Facilitate Design Workshops: Conduct design workshops, critiques, and co-creation sessions to focus stakeholders on solving underlying root causes of user/customer pain points.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Be a key stakeholder in building the design team and be recognized for your craftsmanship and domain expertise.
  • End-to-End Design: Own design problems from concept to shipping and beyond, partnering with engineers to ensure pixel-perfect results.
  • Iterate and Improve: Ship, measure, and refine designs based on quantitative and qualitative feedback.
  • Brainstorm and Innovate: Collaborate with colleagues to raise the bar on the overall user experience.


What You'll Need


  • Extensive UI/UX Experience: At least 7 years of experience in UI/UX design, with a strong portfolio showcasing high-quality, thoughtful work. Specifically Mobile app and website design experience.
  • Relevant Education: A degree in HCI, Graphic Design, or a related field.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to understand product goals, identify opportunities, and make decisions based on the impact on users and the company.
  • Interaction Design Expertise: Experience in defining user interactions and using prototyping skills to demonstrate flows and behavior.
  • Breadth of Design Knowledge: Familiarity with design thinking, applied service design, user experience research, and related disciplines.
  • Software Proficiency: Strong skills in Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, Lottie files, prototyping, and a deep understanding of components and design systems.
  • Experience in Startup Environments: Knowledge of designing 0-1 products and scaling them, with a background in working with small to medium-sized teams in fast-paced settings.
  • Visual Design Skills: Proficiency in typography, desktop/mobile UI, color, layout, iconography, and aesthetic sense.
  • Additional Experience: Bonus if you've worked with startup founders or executives to turn ideas into reality.
