Our Client (MNC) is looking for Lead Buyer (AGM) - Spares Procurement (like, grinding media, bearings, conveyors, belts, filter bags, refractories, roller parts, general items & services, etc.)


Experience 12-16 Years

Location: Gurgaon


Job Responsibilities:

  • Implement Purchasing process at various location for Procurement of spare maintenance items through suitable authorized / reliable Vendors/ Contractors for smooth running of plants by enhancing the purchasing effectiveness .
  • Preparing and soliciting competitive bids and evaluating technical specification jointly with technical counterparts for competitive offerings
  • Conducting negotiation with vendors as per the purchasing guidelines/Handbook
  • Reviewing, issuing and administering purchase orders with necessary penalty clause to ensure that we receive right quality and quantity of spare maintenance items and Ensuring long term availability of spare maintenance items from the supplier.
  • Monitoring daily receipts and consumption as per the OP plan and improvements from time to time
  • Ensure implementation of the action plan for Achieving the objectives and targets set for the Team members by regular monitoring / reviewing the progress
  • Safety aspects to be looked into, unknown risks to be evaluated also needs to be ready for both scheduled & unscheduled maintenance, also need to give priorities on critical equipment & helps in trouble shooting, also needs to be looked into equipment OEE & equipment downtime
  • Review the Vendor / Contractor/Transporters performance and recommending for taking suitable decision to continue in vendor master list or for de-sourcing and for maintaining healthy business relationship with vendor
  • Conducting periodic review of Vendors / contractors / transporters performance by daily interaction with vendors as well as with user department
  • Informing vendor / contractor / transporter for taking corrective action to improve their performance in case of any deviations with respect to agreed contract terms
  • Market scoping and identification of new suppliers / sources. Analysis, identification and implementation of optimal logistics solutions, Benchmarking with competitors
  • Regular review and maintain inventory management of spare maintenance items to avoid stock out and achieve better working capital and consumption
  • Release orders by forecasting future needs and interacting with internal customers to help Plant run operations optimally
