Purpose of the Job：

Tax Manager responsible for managing Direct and Indirect Tax compliance matters for business units in the Asia-Pacific region including assistance with Transfer Pricing compliance. The role will be based in India as remote working location reporting to the Corporate Tax team.


Major Activities：

  • Liaise with Finance teams and External Tax Advisors to ensure timely and accurate Tax submissions ahead of statutory deadlines.
  • Responsible for Tax Accounting and Effective Tax Rate analysis for statutory reporting purposes.
  • Review and ensure that the Country Transfer Pricing filings are in line with Corporate TP Policy and comply with Country Tax requirements.
  • Responsible for ensuring Tax working papers are maintained and Audit Trail is available with respect to Tax numbers.
  • Manage tax audits and enquiries by liaising with relevant stakeholders and external advisors for thorough and timely responses to queries from Tax authorities.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Finance and Tax teams to implement strategic Tax policies and serve as the main point of contact for Tax compliance matters.
  • Support with Tax risk management and implementation of Tax risk mitigation initiatives.
  • Proactively update Corporate Tax Team on changes to Tax Laws and Regulations that could impact entities
  • Support with any Ad-hoc Tax advisory projects in the APAC region
  • Provide regular update and status reports to Corporate tax head on all compliance matters and reorganisations


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 6 years relevant Tax experience, preferably from Big 4 or large MNC.
  • Professional qualification in Accounting or Tax (CA, ACCA, CTA)
  • Experience and knowledge of Direct and Indirect Taxes (in APAC region would be a plus)
  • Awareness of International Tax Developments
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, Powerpoint
  • Must be self-motivated, highly organised, diligent, articulate and proficient in English.
  • Team Player with the ability to work independently and willingness to learn.
  • Excellent Time Management Skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Experience of working in a multicultural environment.
