Technical skills

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. User management and maintenance of all database users like granting a subset of privileges as per client’s policy.
  2. Resolving User related queries in Production and Test Databases.
  3. As per client request creating new users and assigning profiles in production databases.
  4. Monthly purging activity to gain database level space improvement
  5. Archival activity for performance improvement.
  6. Performance monitoring, Database installation and configuration
  7. Schedule RMAN backup and monitor RMAN status of all production databases.
  8. Monitoring the uptime of all production & staging databases including sbi.co.in ,MAB and SMS databases
  9. Monitoring Database and listener status for Production and DR side.
  10. Monitoring of alert logs, identifying errors and Initiate approval for necessary action
  11. Monitoring Disk utilization for Production and DR Database.
  12. Monitoring Table space Size in database level.
  13. Monitoring for DC and DR sync status and check status archival apply status
  14. Monitoring number of active sessions in database.
  15. Monitoring CPU utilization and I/O wait on Production database.
  16. Providing out of hours cover as agreed with the Team Leader
  17. Interface proactively with other Infrastructure support teams such as UNIX, Windows, Network, Storage, Monitoring etc
  18. Document issues and associated resolutions to problems
  19. Prepare documentation and presentation of progress reports to customers
