We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Senior Planner cum Merchandiser to join our team at Manish Malhotra. As a Senior Merchandiser, you will be responsible for managing multiple vendor enquiries, coordinating production activities, and ensuring timely deliveries. In this role, you will closely collaborate with the store team and retail head to ensure the availability of the right merchandise at each store. Your responsibilities will also include coordinating with the order team and production team, working closely with data, particularly for MIS, merchandise planning, and replenishment. We are looking for a smart, dynamic, and detail-oriented individual who has a strong understanding of fabric, embroidery, prints, and trims.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement planning strategies aligned with the brand's vision and goals.


  • Analyse sales data, market trends, and customer preferences to forecast demand and plan assortments.


  • Collaborate with design, production, and sales teams to ensure merchandise meets brand standards and customer expectations. Handle multiple vendor enquiries and build strong relationships with suppliers.


  • Manage inventory levels to optimize stock availability while minimizing excess inventory and markdowns.


  • Monitor inventory turnover and aging to identify slow-moving or obsolete items and take necessary actions.


  • Coordinate with suppliers and production teams to ensure timely replenishment and delivery of merchandise.


  • Curate product assortments for each season or collection, considering factors like style, colour, size, and price points.


  • Work closely with designers to ensure assortments reflect current fashion trends and align with brand aesthetics.


  • Conduct regular reviews of assortment performance and make adjustments as needed to maximize sales and profitability.


  • Coordinate production and follow up with vendors to ensure smooth operations.


  • Monitor production planning and execution to achieve timely deliveries.



Desired Functional Skills:

  • Ability to develop comprehensive merchandise plans aligned with brand objectives, considering sales forecasts, market trends, and consumer preferences.
