Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Quality Assurance Engineer at Unibots in Delhi, India. The Quality Assurance Engineer will be responsible for test execution, quality assurance, manual testing, creating test cases, and software testing and documentation as part of the day-to-day tasks.

Role Description

  • Automated Testing: Design, implement, and maintain automated test scripts for web applications using industry-standard testing frameworks.
  • Test Execution & Reporting: Execute automated test cases, identify issues, and provide detailed reports on test results.
  • Collaboration with Development Teams: Work closely with the development team to understand project requirements and ensure that applications are properly tested before release.
  • Test Framework Maintenance: Ensure that existing test automation frameworks and scripts are updated and aligned with new features and technologies.
  • Code Quality Assurance: Review code for testability and ensure that the automated tests provide full coverage of critical features.
  • Bug Reporting & Tracking: Report bugs and defects using the company’s issue tracking system, and help prioritize them for resolution.
  • Documentation: Maintain clear, concise, and detailed documentation for the application, automated tests and their results.
  • Performance & Load Testing: Conduct performance testing where applicable to ensure the scalability of the application.


Mandatory Skills:

  • JavaScript (JS): Strong proficiency in JavaScript with an understanding of ES6+ syntax and modern development practices.
  • React: Hands-on experience with React for understanding the applications.
  • HTML/CSS: Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and modern web development techniques.
  • Version Control: Experience with Git for version control, including branching and merging.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to debug issues and find solutions in a timely manner.


Good to Have Skills:

  • Automated Testing Frameworks: Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Puppeteer).
  • Test Case Development: Ability to design and implement effective test cases and scenarios based on application requirements.
  • Collaboration Tools: Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, or similar collaboration tools for bug tracking and project management.
  • Jest: Familiarity with Jest for unit and integration testing in a JavaScript/React environment.
  • Cross-Browser Testing: Experience with cross-browser testing tools.
