Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Software Test Engineer at ThetaZero Private Limited in Chennai. We are seeking a seasoned Software Test Engineer to join our team immediately and play a lead role in ensuring the quality and performance of our software applications.


As a Software Test Engineer, you will be responsible for performing test execution, software testing, creating and executing test cases, and collaborating with the software development team. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products.


With 2.5 to 6 years of experience, you'll be an automation testing expert with a strong understanding of DevOps principles.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans covering functional, non-functional, and performance aspects.
  • Lead the development and implementation of automated testing using the technology stack and frameworks (Selenium with Python, Java).
  • Collaborate with developers and product managers throughout the development lifecycle using DevOps methodologies.
  • Conduct performance testing to identify and optimize application bottlenecks.
  • Effectively communicate test results and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences, including UK-based customers.


Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge and experience in software testing and test execution
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to create and execute test cases
  • Experience or understanding of software development processes
  • Good understanding of testing methodologies and best practices
  • Attention to detail and ability to analyze complex software systems
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with automated testing tools is a plus
  • Certifications in software testing or related areas are beneficial
  • Knowledge or work experience in DevOps is a plus
