We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Strategic Supply Chain Manager (8~12 Yrs Experience) to drive our supply chain strategy, supplier relationships, and cost optimization initiatives. This role is essential to ensuring our supply chain is resilient, sustainable, and aligned with our long-term growth goals. The Strategic Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for managing sourcing processes, fostering strong supplier partnerships, and implementing innovative solutions to enhance supply chain efficiency and agility.


Key Roles and Responsibilities (R&R):


1. Supplier Relationship Management

  • Develop and maintain long-term partnerships with key suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular supplier assessments and performance reviews to ensure alignment with company standards and performance goals.
  • Negotiate favorable contract terms to support long-term sourcing strategies and minimize risks.


2. Cost Optimization and Efficiency

  • Conduct cost-benefit analysis on sourcing decisions to optimize cost savings across the supply chain.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce waste, improve inventory turnover, and enhance logistical efficiency.
  • Implement strategic sourcing initiatives to consolidate suppliers and increase negotiation leverage.


3. Risk Management

  • Develop and execute risk mitigation strategies, especially for critical components and single- source suppliers.
  • Diversify the supplier base and conduct ongoing risk assessments to minimize supply chain disruptions.
  • Utilize supply chain monitoring tools to proactively identify and address potential risks.


4. Sustainability and Ethical Sourcing

  • Establish and enforce supplier standards for environmental sustainability, ethical sourcing, and social responsibility.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to increase transparency and traceability, particularly for sustainable materials.
  • Drive initiatives to improve the sustainability of the supply chain and meet corporate social responsibility goals.


5. Demand Forecasting and Inventory Management

  • Develop accurate demand forecasting models to ensure inventory aligns with projected demand.
  • Implement just-in-time (JIT) inventory management to optimize cash flow and reduce holding costs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to synchronize inventory planning with production and marketing initiatives.


6. Digital Transformation and Process Improvement

  • Lead efforts to digitalize the supply chain, utilizing ERP and SCM software for real-time monitoring and decision-making.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives, leveraging data analytics to optimize supply chain performance.
  • Integrate predictive analytics to enhance decision-making and stay ahead of market trends.


7. Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Partner with finance, operations, and product development teams to align supply chain strategy with company objectives.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to understand demand trends and plan inventory accordingly.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on supply chain best practices and contribute to company-wide strategic initiatives.


Minimum Requirements:


Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, supply chain management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field. MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.


Experience: Minimum of 6–10 years in supply chain management, strategic sourcing, or procurement for US, MX and EU regions preferably in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.


Industry reference: Medical, Industrial, Consumer Electronics


Technical Skills:

  1. Proficiency in supply chain management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle SCM, or similar ERP systems).
  2. Strong data analysis skills, with experience using data analytics tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau) to drive decisions.
  3. Knowledge of demand forecasting, inventory management, and cost optimization techniques.
  4. Commodity knowledge – Electro-mechanical


Soft Skills:

  1. Excellent negotiation and communication skills with a track record of managing supplier relationships effectively.
  2. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to develop and implement effective supply chain strategies.
  3. Ability to collaborate across departments, manage multiple priorities, and lead cross-functional initiatives.


Certifications: APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) is a plus.


Other Requirements:

  1. Demonstrated experience in sustainability and ethical sourcing practices.
  2. Familiarity with risk management frameworks and strategies.
  3. Ability to adapt to new technologies and drive digital transformation initiatives
  4. NPI Engineering sourcing experience an added advantage.
