Bangalore Urban, India UST Full time

Experience: ~5 years

About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled and passionate Post-Silicon Validation Engineer to join our team working on ARM-based microcontroller Automotive SoC products. In this role, you will be responsible for performing post-silicon characterization, debugging, and validation of our next-generation automotive SoCs.

You will work closely with chip design and product engineering teams to validate silicon against specifications, ensure datasheet compliance, and develop automation infrastructure for both bench and ATE platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform post-silicon characterization to validate device performance and compliance with datasheet specifications.
  • Design and develop hardware setups for lab-based characterization of automotive SoCs.
  • Create and maintain automation software using LabVIEW or Python to streamline validation and data acquisition.
  • Implement test programs and automation on ATE platforms (preferably Advantest V93K).
  • Analyze test data, identify anomalies, and work with design teams for silicon debug and root-cause analysis.
  • Contribute to validation strategy, test plan development, and documentation.
  • Ensure measurement repeatability, test coverage, and traceability to specification.

Qualifications:

  • B.E/B.Tech or M.E/M.Tech/MS in Electronics, Microelectronics, VLSI, or related disciplines.
  • Strong fundamentals in electrical circuits, digital/analog electronics, and SoC architectures.
  • Experience with firmware coding and scripting (Python, Shell, C/C++).
  • Familiarity with measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, function generators, SMUs, etc.
  • Exposure to ATE platforms (V93K preferred) and/or LabVIEW-based automation is a strong plus.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with ARM-based microcontrollers and automotive-grade SoCs.
  • Knowledge of automotive standards like ISO 26262 or AEC-Q100.
  • Data analysis experience using Excel, MATLAB, or Python.
  • Prior internship or project in post-silicon validation or semiconductor test development.

Why Join Us?

  • Work on cutting-edge automotive SoC products.
  • Collaborate with world-class engineers in a highly innovative environment.
  • Get exposure to full silicon lifecycle – from tapeout to mass production.
  • Competitive compensation, flexible work culture, and technical growth opportunities.
