Key Responsibilities:

  • Network Infrastructure Management:
  • Design, deploy, and maintain local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), wireless networks and Cisco telephonic
  • Configure and maintain network devices such as Cisco routers, Cisco switches/Nexus, Cisco Wireless controller, Cisco access points, and Cisco ISE, Cisco CUCM, Telephone Gateway
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues
  • Optimize network performance by implementing network upgrades and improvements
  • Configuration & manage DHCP/DNS
  • Network Security:
  • Implement and enforce network security policies and procedures
  • Configure and manage firewall rules, access controls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS)
  • Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments
  • Respond to security incidents and implement remediation actions
  • Network Administration:
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls
  • Monitor network traffic for unusual activity and unauthorized access
  • Maintain network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and inventory
  • Perform routine backups and ensure data integrity and availability
  • Network Monitoring and Optimization:
  • Monitor network performance and identify areas for improvement
  • Analyse network traffic patterns and bandwidth utilization
  • Implement network monitoring tools to proactively identify and resolve issues
  • Optimize network configurations for better performance and efficiency
  • Collaboration and Support:
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate network infrastructure with other systems and applications
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users and IT staff
  • Participate in project planning and implementation, ensuring network requirements are met
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in network administration

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Professional certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), CompTIA Network+, or equivalent
  • Proven experience in network administration roles, including network design, implementation, and troubleshooting
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols, routing like BGP/i-BGP/Static and other dynamic protocols, switching, and sub-netting
  • Knowledge of network security principles and best practices
  • Familiarity with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ready to work 24/7 to support business for priority issues
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
