Job Summary

(The primary purpose or objectives and an overall description of the position)

The role will entail ensuring compliance with GST & Income Tax regulations and providing expert guidance on all aspects related to GST & Income Tax law. This role involves staying updated with the latest GST & Income Tax laws, regulations, and changes, ensuring daily operational compliance and minimizing tax liabilities while maintaining accurate and timely GST Return & TDS return filings. The GST & Income tax specialist will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure proper documentation, reporting, and adherence to GST requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities

 

·    Ensure compliance with rules and regulations under E-invoice & E-way bill.

·    Review and reconcile GST and TDS return data to identify discrepancies and resolve potential issues.

·    Prepare and file GST and TDS returns accurately and within prescribed deadlines.

·    Monitor and interpret GST and Income Tax laws, rules, and notifications to ensure adherence.

·    Maintain organized records of all GST and Income Tax-related documents, invoices, and transactions.

·    Ensure proper documentation to support GST credits and refunds. Lead refund of Input tax credit from GST / Income Tax department and liaising with them.

·    Audit and assessment with auditor/ department for GST and Income Tax.

Experience Required

·    Min. 8 years of hands-on experience in GST and Income Tax compliance, taxation, or a related role.

·    Experience at Mid-Sized Trading/ Manufacturing enterprise (Turnover >400 Crs.)

·    Experience at managing (creating, filing monthly returns, initiating refunds) multiple GSTs/ PAN across companies and states (As applicable).

Skills, Abilities, and Competencies

·    In-depth knowledge of GST and Income Tax laws, regulations, and their practical application.

·    Proficient in using Tally, Erp9

·    Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Academia

·    Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Taxation, or a related field.

·    Master's degree or professional taxation certification is a plus.
