About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Retail to lead our retail expansion efforts across India. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving retail growth and managing large-scale operations. They will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to maximize sales, enhance the customer experience.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive retail expansion strategy to drive growth and increase market penetration across India.
- Lead the planning and execution of new store openings, including site selection, lease negotiation, store design, and construction.
- Oversee all aspects of retail operations, including inventory management, merchandising, pricing, and promotions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, logistics, and finance, to ensure alignment and support for retail initiatives.
- Analyze market trends, customer feedback, and sales data to identify opportunities for optimization and improvement.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including landlords, suppliers, and industry partners.
- Develop and mentor a high-performing retail team, providing guidance, support, and leadership to drive results.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures, including health and safety standards.
- Spearhead training and development programs for store managers, sales associates, and support staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement at both city and store levels.
- Partner with Marketing, Operations, and Finance teams to align retail strategies with company goals, ensuring smooth coordination across all channels.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in retail management.
- Proven track record of successfully launching and scaling retail operations in dynamic and competitive markets.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve ambitious goals.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
