  • Contract Review & Compliance:
  • Analyze contract documents, including tender documents, drawings, and terms and conditions, to identify key requirements, milestones, and critical focus areas.
  • Highlight commercially challenging items and create strategic execution plans, sharing insights with the team.
  • Team Allocation & Mobilization:
  • Support in selecting and placing project-specific team members in collaboration with HR and other functions, ensuring optimal workforce allocation.
  • Finalize infrastructure, plant, and machinery requirements, guiding the mobilization team for timely setup on-site.
  • Planning & Budgeting:
  • Oversee project planning, ensuring alignment with contractual requirements and approvals from the client.
  • Review budgets, discuss challenges with stakeholders, and ensure resources align with project phases and schedules.
  • Implement a Daily Progress Reporting system and maintain updates for internal and client stakeholders.
  • Execution & Quality Management:
  • Guide the project team on technical execution, quality standards, and work method statements (WMS), ensuring compliance without rework.
  • Coordinate mock-ups and quality checks with clients, addressing any issues proactively to maintain quality and timelines.
  • Sub-Contractor & Material Management:
  • Manage subcontractor selection and agreements, ensuring terms align with project requirements and timely delivery of bought-out materials.
  • Monitor labor supply, productivity, and material storage, coordinating with procurement for efficient resource flow.
  • Billing & Contract Administration:
  • Oversee timely submission of RA bills, rate approvals for non-tender items, and ensure smooth amendment processing for out-of-scope work.
  • Track and escalate delays in client payments, ensuring up-to-date documentation for time extensions and overrun charges.
  • Team Building & Innovation:
  • Foster teamwork and a common project goal, encourage productivity improvements, and support a culture of innovation.
  • Promote a Reward & Recognition culture, encouraging team members to propose solutions that enhance project efficiency and quality.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil) or a related field.
  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in project management, specifically in power plant or industrial projects.
  • Skills: Proficient in project planning software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project), contract management, budgeting, and team leadership.
