We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Content Editor with a strong background in SEO to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for crafting high-quality, engaging content that resonates with our audience while adhering to SEO best practices and Australian and US English conventions. This role requires a blend of creativity, analytical skills, and a deep understanding of semantic SEO, topical authority, and holistic SEO concepts to enhance our website's visibility and authority.


Responsibilities:

  • Write and edit in-depth, authoritative content on digital topics.
  • Ensure all content strictly follows Australian and USA English language and grammar conventions, with a focus on making complex topics accessible to an eighth-grade reading level.
  • Utilise semantic words, related concepts, and important entities relevant to the topic without altering their meaning or context.
  • Maintain a friendly yet authoritative writing style that convinces readers of the content's value and accuracy.
  • Incorporate FAQs relevant to the main topic to address common queries and enhance the article's comprehensiveness and utility.
  • Work collaboratively with the SEO team to ensure content alignment with SEO strategies and goals.


Skills Required:

  • Proven experience in content writing and editing, with a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in SEO-focused content creation.
  • Excellent command of Australian and US English, including spelling, grammar, and stylistic conventions.
  • Ability to research and write on technical topics, breaking down complex concepts into reader-friendly content.
  • Strong understanding of SEO principles with the ability to apply these in content creation.
  • Proficiency in content management systems and SEO tools.
  • Outstanding analytical skills to ensure content aligns with SEO guidelines and readability standards.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, English, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in content editing and writing, with a specific focus on SEO and digital marketing content.
  • Familiarity with the latest trends in SEO, digital marketing, and content strategy.
  • Experience writing for an Australian and US audience is highly desirable.
