Gurugram, India ADVATIX - Advanced Supply Chain and Logistics Full time

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION


This position applies system solutions to business problems through the design and programming of automated systems. You will help develop and maintain data pipelines from existing and new applications to the data warehouse to support enhanced analytics to clients.


MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY


  • Engineering resources for any/all data related mining.
  • Develop next-generation data pipelines (ETL/ELT), from internal/external applications to the enterprise data warehouse (EDW) to enable rapid, ad-hoc analyses.
  • Strong knowledge of object-oriented development & methodologies
  • Follow best practices in application development.
  • Ensure data integrity, data security and data cleansing protocols are deployed and followed.
  • Participate in all phases of the software engineering life cycle.
  • Provide technical troubleshooting and product support.
  • Develop and implement new products and provide information and support when required.
  • Evaluate new design proposals, investigate, and recommend solutions and process.
  • Ensure that necessary technical documentation is maintained in an appropriate manner.
  • Creates specific applications against business requirements received.



QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED


  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in data engineering.
  • Strong experience using Snowflake, dbt, SQL, MySQL, Postgres, and shell scripting.
  • Strong experience using Json, XML, Python, R, REST & SOAP based APIs.
  • Working knowledge of Source Control Tools (TFS, Git, SVN)
  • Experience with Big Data and Data Lake Environment
  • Experience with Data Warehouse On-Cloud (Ex. Snowflake)
  • Experience with ELT On-Cloud (Ex. FiveTran)
  • Experience with multi-tier application development.
  • Familiar with system development life cycle (SDLC)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to quickly learn new skills and technologies and adapt them to technical and challenges.
  • Ability to learn other development languages and software tools where necessary.
  • Ability to perform systems analysis and design and provide written specifications.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and good multi-tasking skills.
  • Adaptability, planning, organizing and detail oriented.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision and within a team-oriented environment.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
