We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Azure Security and Incident Management Specialist to manage and optimize the security, patching, and virtual machine (VM) infrastructure on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud security, patch management, incident response, and maintaining service-level agreements (SLA) to ensure the security and reliability of Azure-based applications and services.

Must Have's ::

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Relevant certifications are a plus (e.g., Azure Security Engineer Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
  • Strong knowledge of Azure Security features (Azure Security Center, Azure Sentinel, Key Vault, etc.).
  • Experience with patch management tools and automation frameworks (e.g., Azure Automation, WSUS).
  • Expertise in managing Azure Virtual Machines, networking, and cloud resources.
  • Proficient in incident detection, response, and mitigation techniques.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with technical teams and stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on problem-solving and continuous improvement

Role ::

Azure Security Management:

  • Oversee the security of cloud infrastructure hosted on Microsoft Azure, ensuring compliance with industry best practices and organizational security policies.
  • Implement and maintain Azure security features, such as Network Security Groups (NSGs), Azure Firewall, and Azure Sentinel for threat detection and response.

Patch Management:

  • Manage and automate the patching of Azure virtual machines (VMs) and other Azure-based infrastructure to ensure timely updates.
  • Develop and implement patching schedules in line with organizational requirements and industry standards.

VM Management:

  • Administer, optimize, and troubleshoot Azure virtual machines (VMs) and related resources to ensure performance, availability, and scalability.
  • Monitor the health and performance of VMs, ensuring uptime and prompt resolution of any issues.

Incident Management:

  • Lead the response to security incidents, coordinating with teams to mitigate, investigate, and resolve security breaches or vulnerabilities in the Azure environment.

Service Level Agreement (SLA) Management:

  • Develop, monitor, and enforce SLAs for cloud security, VM management, and patching processes.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders and service providers to ensure SLAs are met and issues are escalated as needed.

Collaboration and Reporting:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT operations, development, and network engineering, to ensure seamless security and incident management processes.
