The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating, installing and managing our databases. You will ensure optimal database performance by analyzing database issues and monitoring database performance.


Responsibilities

  • '- Install and configure Oracle database software, ensuring proper settings for optimal performance and security.
  • - Collaborate with developers and analysts to design efficient and scalable database structures that meet business requirements.
  • - Implement and maintain database security measures, including user access control, encryption, and auditing to protect sensitive data.
  • - Develop and execute backup and recovery strategies to safeguard data and minimize downtime in case of system failures.
  • - Monitor and optimize database performance by analyzing queries, indexes, and server configurations, ensuring efficient data retrieval.
  • - Apply patches, updates, and database upgrades to keep the system secure and up-to-date with the latest features.
  • - Diagnose and resolve database-related issues, such as errors, performance bottlenecks, and data inconsistencies, ensuring smooth operation.
  • - Facilitate the migration of data between different environments, ensuring data integrity and minimal disruption.
  • - Develop and maintain scripts or use automation tools to streamline routine tasks, improving operational efficiency.
  • - Implement monitoring tools to track database health, proactively identifying potential issues and performing routine maintenance tasks.
  • - Work closely with developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to address database-related requirements and challenges.
  • - Maintain comprehensive documentation regarding database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for reference and knowledge sharing.


Qualifications


1. Proven experience with Oracle Database administration (3-5 years)

2. Strong command of SQL for querying databases and PL/SQL for developing stored procedures and triggers (3-5 years)

3. Ability to optimize database performance by analyzing and fine-tuning queries, indexes, and server configurations (3-5 years)

4. Experience with major NoSQL databases (Mongo, Redis, etc) (1-3 years)

5. Experience with tools for monitoring database health and implementing regular maintenance tasks. (managing backup and recovery strategie) (3-5 years)
