Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Geographic Information System (GIS) Specialist with expertise in Drone Mapping and LiDAR technology. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and analyzing geospatial data collected through drone surveys, creating high-quality maps and models, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all geospatial outputs.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, execute, and manage drone mapping projects, including data collection, processing, and analysis.
  • Utilize LiDAR technology to create detailed 3D models and topographic maps.
  • Process and analyze geospatial data using GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, and other relevant tools.
  • Interpret and integrate geospatial data with other data sources to produce comprehensive reports and visualizations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including surveyors, engineers, and project managers, to deliver high-quality geospatial products.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Provide technical support and training to team members on GIS and LiDAR technologies.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in GIS, drone mapping, and LiDAR technologies.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geography, Geomatics, Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in GIS, with a focus on drone mapping and LiDAR technology.
  • Proficiency in GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, and related tools.
  • Hands-on experience with LiDAR data processing and analysis.
  • Strong understanding of geospatial data formats, projections, and coordinate systems.
  • Experience with drone flight planning and data collection is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
