Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Senior Software Security Tester at Aventra Group. The Senior Software Security Tester will be responsible for test execution, software testing, quality assurance, and creating test cases. Day-to-day tasks include conducting security assessments, identifying vulnerabilities, and ensuring the security of digital solutions.


Responsibilities:

  • Conduct security testing on software applications to identify vulnerabilities and security flaws.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive security test plans and test cases.
  • Perform penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and code reviews.
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate security testing into the software development lifecycle.
  • Analyze security test results and provide detailed reports with recommendations for remediation.
  • Stay updated with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of security policies and procedures.
  • Participate in security incident response and investigations as needed.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in security testing and quality assurance.
  • Strong knowledge of security testing tools and methodologies (e.g., OWASP, SAST, DAST).
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++.
  • Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or OSCP are a plus.
