As a Primary Art and Craft Teacher (PRT), you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive art and craft curriculum for students in primary grades. You will foster creativity, self-expression, and artistic skills among students while ensuring a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Curriculum Development: Design and develop a dynamic art and craft curriculum aligned with the school's educational objectives and standards, catering to the specific needs and developmental stages of primary students.
  2. Instructional Delivery: Deliver engaging art and craft lessons using a variety of teaching methods, techniques, and materials to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities. Foster a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment conducive to creative exploration and expression.
  3. Skill Development: Facilitate the development of fundamental artistic skills, including drawing, painting, sculpting, and crafting, among primary students. Provide guidance and support to help students explore different mediums and techniques while encouraging experimentation and self-expression.
  4. Creativity Promotion: Encourage and inspire students to unleash their creativity, imagination, and originality through art and craft activities. Provide opportunities for students to explore their interests, express their ideas, and develop their unique artistic voice.
  5. Collaboration: Collaborate with fellow teachers, art department colleagues, and school leadership to integrate art and craft across the curriculum and promote cross-disciplinary learning experiences. Participate in departmental meetings, professional development activities, and school events to contribute to the overall educational program.
  6. Parent Communication: Establish and maintain open and effective communication with parents/guardians regarding student progress, achievements, and opportunities for further development in art and craft. Actively involve parents in their child's artistic journey through regular updates, workshops, and showcases.
  7. Classroom Management: Create a positive and respectful classroom environment that fosters creativity, cooperation, and mutual respect among students. Implement effective classroom management strategies to ensure a safe and orderly learning environment conducive to artistic exploration and expression.
