Overview

The IT Infrastructure and Support Technician will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our organization's IT infrastructure and providing technical support to end-users. This position requires a strong understanding of IT systems, hardware, software, and excellent problem-solving skills. It will be reported directly to our Infrastructure Manager.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Additional duties may be assigned. Management retains the discretion to change or add to the duties of this position.

1. Infrastructure Management:

• Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot network infrastructure, servers, and data storage systems.
• Ensure data backup and disaster recovery processes are in place and functional.
• Perform regular system updates and patches to ensure security and performance.
• Manage and optimize cloud-based services.

1. End-User Support:

• Provide technical support to end-users, both in person and remotely.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues promptly.
• Assist users with setting up and configuring new devices and software applications.
• Assist in onboarding of employees on IT policies and best practices.

1. Hardware and Software Maintenance:

• Maintain and repair computer systems, printers, and other hardware devices.
• Install, configure, and update software applications and operating systems.
• Ensure proper licensing and compliance with software agreements.

1. Security and Compliance:

• Help enforce security measures to protect the organization's data and systems.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

1. Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate documentation of IT assets, configurations, and procedures.
• Generate reports on system performance, incidents, and service requests.

• Collaborate with other IT team members on projects and initiatives.
• Work with external vendors and service providers as needed.

1. Emergencies and After-Hours Support:

• Be available for on-call support and respond to IT emergencies outside regular business hours when necessary.

Skills & Minimum Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:

• Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role.
• Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN), and patch management.
• Knowledge of system security (e.g., intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery.
• Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms.
• Experience with Azure and Office 365 administration is required.
• BSc/Ba in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline; professional certification (e.g., Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)) is a plus.
