Job Description:


We are seeking an experienced Azure DevOps with Python Scripting Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both Azure DevOps and Python scripting, with a proven ability to automate and optimize software development processes. The specialist will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining Python scripts to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our software development lifecycle.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Develop and implement Python scripts to automate tasks within the Azure DevOps environment, including build and release processes, testing, and deployment.

2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for process improvement and automation opportunities.

3. Design, develop, and maintain custom scripts and tools to support the software development lifecycle, including version control, source code management, and issue tracking.

4. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to script execution, ensuring that scripts are error-free and perform optimally.

5. Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements to existing scripts and processes, in order to increase efficiency and reduce manual intervention.

6. Maintain documentation for all developed scripts and tools, ensuring that team members can easily understand and utilize them.

7. Stay current with industry trends and best practices in Azure DevOps and Python scripting, and incorporate new knowledge into the team's processes.


Requirements:


1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in Python scripting and automation.

3. Strong understanding of Azure DevOps, including Azure Boards, Azure Pipelines, and Azure Artifacts.

4. Proficient in Python programming, with experience in creating and maintaining scripts for automation and optimization.

5. Experience with version control systems, such as Git, and source code management tools.

6. Familiarity with software testing and deployment processes, including continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD).

7. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.

8. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

9. Self-motivated and proactive, with a strong desire to continuously learn and improve.
