Job Title: Senior Resident Engineer / Senior Construction Project Manager - Urban Mobility and Public Health Engineering

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Manager to lead our Urban Mobility and Public Health Engineering projects. The ideal candidate should hold a Graduate Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Transportation Engineering. Postgraduates in relevant fields will be preferred. With a minimum of 15 years of experience in Project Management or Supervision for Construction, particularly in Urban Mobility or Public Health Engineering Works, the candidate should have a strong understanding of project management principles and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead and manage all aspects of projects related to Urban Mobility and Public Health Engineering, ensuring adherence to project objectives, schedules, and budgetary constraints.
2. Oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of construction activities, coordinating with internal teams, subcontractors, and external stakeholders to achieve project milestones.
3. Apply sound knowledge of FIDIC Conditions of Contract and other relevant contractual frameworks to manage project contracts, variations, and claims effectively.
4. Utilize the latest software tools such as Primavera for project planning, scheduling, and resource management, optimizing project efficiency and productivity.
5. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate engineering, environmental, and public health considerations into project designs and solutions.
6. Conduct regular site inspections and quality audits to ensure compliance with technical specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
7. Prepare and review project documentation, including progress reports, risk assessments, and cost estimates, to facilitate informed decision-making and stakeholder communication.
8. Mitigate project risks and issues through proactive identification, analysis, and implementation of appropriate mitigation measures.
9. Manage project budgets and expenditures, tracking costs against allocated funds and initiating corrective actions as necessary.
10. Leverage international experience and best practices to enhance project delivery and outcomes, fostering innovation and continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Experience:

1. Graduate Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Transportation Engineering. Postgraduates in relevant fields will be preferred.
2. Minimum of 15 years of experience in Project Management or Supervision for Construction, with a focus on Urban Mobility or Public Health Engineering Works.
3. Strong knowledge of FIDIC Conditions of Contract and other applicable contractual frameworks.
4. At least 8 years of experience working on externally aided infrastructure projects, demonstrating familiarity with international project management standards.
5. Proficiency in project planning software such as Primavera, with the ability to develop detailed construction schedules and timelines.
6. International experience in similar roles or projects would be advantageous.
7. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing project challenges.
9. Commitment to upholding high standards of quality, safety, and environmental sustainability in project delivery.
10. Professional certifications or affiliations related to project management or engineering would be desirable.
