As an SQL Technical Architect, you will play a critical role in shaping our data architecture strategy. Your work will ensure the integrity, security, and performance of our data systems.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Architectural Design: Develop and implement database architectures, including schema design, indexing strategies, and data partitioning.
  • Performance Tuning: Optimize SQL queries, database performance, and storage to ensure high availability and responsiveness.
  • Data Integration: Design and oversee ETL processes, data migration strategies, and integration with other systems.
  • Security: Implement and enforce database security policies, including data encryption, access controls, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with development teams, data engineers, and business analysts to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Technical Leadership: Mentor and guide junior database professionals, conduct code reviews, and provide technical direction for database-related projects.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of database designs, configurations, and procedures.
  • Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues and provide support for production systems.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Masters degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate) preferred.
  • Experience: 7-12 years of experience in database architecture, design, and management with a strong focus on SQL Server.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in SQL and advanced query writing.
  • Experience with database design, normalization, and optimization techniques.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing, ETL processes, and data modeling.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based database solutions (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database).
  • Understanding of database security best practices.


Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
