The Role:

  • 3D CAD designing and 2D drawings for DFA & DFM.
  • Engineer new lighting solutions, from design concept to manufacturing.
  • Conduct routine checks on pre-launch and in-market products and their functionality. 
  • Investigate and problem-solve issues in existing products. 
  • Develop supporting accessories for the products.


Skills:

  • Design engineering using CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360, and Catia.
  • Proficiency in assigning GD&T. The ability to work with vendors and understand the full manufacturing capacity of vendors.
  • Know-how of material selection based on FEA, DFA, DFM, mechanical interfaces, and Tolerance stack up. 


Requirements:

  • 1 to 2 years of experience with CAD tools such as Solidworks, Fusion 360, and Catia.
  • 1 to 2 years experience with simulation software such as Ansys Workbench.
  • Experience in design and development as part of new product development.
  • Experience in electronic packaging and wire harness installation.
  • Experience in utilising parts from industry standard catalogues (Fasters, Bolts, Mechanisms, etc.)
