Position: Legal entity controller for 1 year contract


Location: Pune

Experience: 5+ Years


Your key responsibilities to will be:

  1. Providing inputs for local and group financial statements, in order to enable preparation in line with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and existing local and fiscal law to obtain clean audit opinions.
  2. Implementing processes and policies to improve the performance of current month-end and year-end closing.
  3. Assisting management with financial planning including presentations and other ad hoc analysis.
  4. Ensuring delivery and execution of the finance actuals, closing and reporting activities for assigned reporting unit(s) - Performs a sanity check of the P&L and coordinates variances analysis actuals compared to reference period (e.g., prior month, quarter, or run-rate and / or forecast) on consolidated level
  5. Independently prepare local statutory reporting for certain entities, ensuring compliance with IFRS, internal guidelines and local GAAP. This includes the preparation of balance sheets, profit & loss statements, explanatory notes, and technical delivery of datasets on a monthly, quarterly, yearly or project base for both IFRS and local GAAP.
  6. Exercising independent judgement and decision -making within the scope of the role, which offers a degree of autonomy.
  7. Assisting in the preparation of tax accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  8. Acting as a primary contact for group functions, business units, external auditors and other stakeholders.
  9. Analyzing financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements and explanatory notes.
  10. Leading and conduct projects such as system migrations, restructuring, mergers & acquisitions and other accounting initiatives.


Skills:

  1. Bachelor degree in Finance, Financial Management or Accounting, Chartered Accountant (CA)
  2. Min. 5 years of experience in corporate accounting, financial management or within an audit firm
  3. Demonstrated hands-on approach with strong ownership of a wide range of financial management topics
  4. Excellent communication skills with a strong business partner mindset
  5. Possess a solid understanding of General Ledger and a strong motivation to continuously learn and improve
  6. Good knowledge of IFRS
  7. Proficiency in working with SAP ERP systems and reporting tools.
  8. Experience in managing internal and external service providers
