Job Summary:

As a Senior Architect in Android Development, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing advanced Android applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers, to create scalable and efficient mobile solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of Android architecture, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to mentor and guide junior developers.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the architecture, design, and development of complex Android applications.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and define technical specifications.
  • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications by identifying and correcting bottlenecks and fixing bugs.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members to maintain high coding standards and best practices.
  • Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in mobile development.
  • Develop and enforce coding standards, testing protocols, and deployment procedures to ensure high-quality software delivery.
  • Integrate third-party libraries and APIs to enhance application functionality.
  • Collaborate with backend developers to design and implement APIs and data synchronization mechanisms.
  • Perform unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing of applications.
  • Contribute to the overall vision and strategy of the mobile development team.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Senior Architect or Senior Developer in Android Development.
  • Strong proficiency in Java and Kotlin programming languages.
  • In-depth knowledge of Android SDK, Android Studio, and other relevant development tools.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, and integrating with backend services.
  • Familiarity with modern Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.
  • Solid understanding of version control systems, particularly Git.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Experience with Agile or Scrum development methodologies is a plus.


Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
  • Knowledge of cloud services and mobile backend as a service (MBaaS) platforms.
  • Familiarity with security best practices in mobile application development.
  • Experience with other mobile development platforms (iOS) is a plus.
