Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Production Planning/ Production/ Manufacturing Specialist with a background in manufacturing operations and IT. The candidate will interact with customers to gather and understand their requirements, collaborate with software developers to ensure the right solutions are delivered, and oversee the functional design and validation processes. The ideal candidate should have expertise in ERP systems, manufacturing, and operations software, and should be excellent in both verbal and written communication.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Interaction:
Serve as the primary point of contact for customers’ requirements.
Gather and interpret customer requirements effectively.
Requirement Analysis:
Translate customer needs into a comprehensive requirement specification document.
Prepare AS-IS and To-BE documents.
Develop functional design specifications (FDS) document based on customer needs and operational constraints.
Collaboration with software developers:
Convey requirements clearly to the development team.
Ensure that the development team fully understands the functional and technical specifications.
Verification & Validation:
Oversee the verification and validation of solutions to ensure they meet customer expectations.
Provide ongoing support and feedback to improve the solution delivered to the customer.
Project Delivery:
Leverage previous experience in manufacturing operations to assist in the planning and execution phases of the software delivery
Understand and resolve operational challenges to optimize schedules and processes.
Manufacturing Software Expertise:
Should have hands-on experience in Manufacturing software – ERP, Planning software, MES
Functional Consultancy:
Act as a functional consultant to ensure the delivered solutions meet business and operational needs of the customer
Support ongoing improvements and adjustments based on customer feedback.
Skills & Qualifications:
· Experience: 5-6 years of experience in production planning, manufacturing operations, ERP systems, and planning software. MES software.
· Manufacturing Operations Knowledge: Hands-on experience in production planning, execution, and managing manufacturing processes.
· ERP & IT Skills: Prior experience working with ERP and manufacturing software is a must.
· Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with customers and teams.
· Collaboration: Ability to work in cross-functional teams, especially between customers and developers.
· Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve challenges in production planning.
