Customer Success, Solution Architect – API ManagementPosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Solution Architect with over 10 years of expertise in API Management to lead the design, implementation, and delivery of scalable and secure API solutions for our enterprise clients. This role demands a strategic thinker with excellent technical skills, a proven ability to interact with customers, and a deep understanding of API lifecycle management. As a Solution Architect, you will play a pivotal role in bridging business needs with technical solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.Key ResponsibilitiesSolution Design and Architecture:Design end-to-end API solutions tailored to meet business and technical requirements.Define architectural patterns, standards, and best practices for API management, integration, and security.Provide guidance on microservices architecture, API gateway configuration, and cloud-native approaches.API Lifecycle Management:Oversee the full lifecycle of APIs, including planning, design, development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and retirement.Advocate for and implement API-first design principles.Customer Interaction:Engage directly with clients to understand their business challenges, requirements, and objectives.Conduct workshops, presentations, and technical discussions to propose and refine solutions.Act as the primary technical point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment.Technical Leadership:Lead technical teams in implementing API solutions, ensuring quality, scalability, and performance.Provide mentorship and knowledge sharing to development teams, ensuring adoption of best practices.Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in API management and recommend innovations.Integration and Deployment:Design and implement API integrations with backend systems, third-party services, and partner ecosystems.Ensure seamless deployment and configuration of API gateways, security protocols, and monitoring tools.Governance and Compliance:Establish API governance frameworks, including policies for versioning, security, rate limiting, and monetization.Ensure compliance with relevant standards (e.g., GDPR, PCI DSS) and organizational policies.Performance and Monitoring:Implement tools and processes to monitor API performance, usage, and availability.Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.Required Skills and ExperienceTechnical Expertise:10+ years of hands-on experience in API Management platforms such as Apigee, Mulesoft, AWS API Gateway, Azure API Management, or similar tools.Proficiency in REST, SOAP, GraphQL, and other API standards and protocols.Expertise in designing and implementing microservices architectures and cloud-native solutions.Strong knowledge of API security practices, including OAuth, OpenID Connect, JWT, and mutual TLS.Customer Engagement:Proven ability to engage with customers, understand their business challenges, and translate them into technical solutions.Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication skills to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.Architectural Skills:Strong understanding of enterprise architecture and system integration.Ability to create detailed technical documentation, including architectural diagrams and implementation plans.Tools and Technologies:Proficiency in API development tools (e.g., Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI).Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.Soft Skills:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Leadership capabilities, including mentoring teams and driving initiatives.Adaptability to work in dynamic environments and manage multiple priorities.Educational BackgroundBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Apigee API Engineer) are a plus.Preferred QualificationsExperience with API monetization and API analytics.Knowledge of hybrid and multi-cloud API deployment models.Familiarity with agile methodologies and experience working in cross-functional teams.Why Join Us?Opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and shape the future of API management.Collaborative and innovative work environment.Competitive compensation and benefits package.A chance to interact with industry leaders and deliver impactful solutions.This role is ideal for an individual who combines technical expertise with strong customer interaction skills and thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
