Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conducts engineering works including overall structural analysis based on specialized and in-depth knowledge and experiences on LNG tanks and cryogenic storage systems.
  2. Provides engineering knowledge, design, quality assurance, leadership, technical leading, trouble shooting and expertise on LNG tanks in accordance with relevant codes (e.g. API, ACI, BS EN, NFPA), standards, design specifications, project procedures and requirements.
  3. Lead the development of design specifications, calculation, and drawings for LNG tank structures.
  4. Directs the preparation of LNG storage tank engineering scope of work in Subcontractor's contract, advises and ensures design specifications, practices and procedures meet safety and industry standards, project cost and schedule.
  5. Accountable for ensuring execution of the LNG tank scope is technically aligned and in compliance with National Code, COMPANY Requirements, Specification and Standard according to the precedence.
  6. Manages Subcontractor's structural and civil engineering activities related to LNG Tanks including validation of required resources, personnel qualifications and experience; usage of appropriate design tools, computer hardware and software.
  7. Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) to analyze the structural behavior and integrity taking into consideration of various loading conditions and linear/non-linear conditions.
  8. Carrying out Soil-Structure Interaction (SSI) analysis considering the vibrating motion during an earthquake.
  9. Based on professional knowledge and solid background of structural analysis of prestressed concrete required for LNG Tank design, perform tasks
  10. Accountable for knowledge of and sharing previous lessons learned, capturing and communicating current lessons learned to support review teams and future projects.

  22. Minimum of 15 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on LNG tanks and cryogenic storage systems.
  23. In-depth knowledge of international codes and standards related to LNG tanks.
  24. In-depth knowledge and experience in analysis and interpretation of SSI (Soil-Structure Interaction) and prestressed structure design.
  25. Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., ANSYS, ABAQUS, STAAD Pro).
  26. Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification is preferred.
  27. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  28. Strong technical, organizational, planning, management and coordination skill

Education:

  • Master or Ph.D degree in Civil or Structural (Ph.D is highly preferable).
