Industry Preference: Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Paints, FMCG and other related industries



The role is centered on spearheading process improvement initiatives across all divisions of organization. The incumbent will lead engineering projects, integrate advanced technologies, enhance yields, and optimize processes. A key focus will be on continuous improvement in process design, cost efficiency, quality, and resource utilization. Additionally, the role involves creating strategic objectives, developing processes, policies, and budgets to strengthen the functional infrastructure.


Key Responsibilities:

Identify Improvement Opportunities:

  • Discover opportunities for BCT (Best Cost Target) and yield enhancement for major products. Collaborate with R&D and Operations teams to implement actionable items at various sites.

Engage with Operations:

  • Partner with Operations teams and Site leads to pinpoint potential improvements in the time cycle of unit operations and processes.

Technical Solution Development:

  • Develop, propose, and implement technical solutions at sites. Monitor the progress of proposed technical enhancements.

Technical Assessments and Enhancements:

  • Conduct technical assessments of unit operations such as heat transfer, distillation, mixing, and filtration. Implement enhancement solutions using standard engineering calculations.

Process Schemes and Vendor Coordination:

  • Develop process schemes and proof of concepts (POCs). Identify and evaluate vendors, prepare Capital Expenditure Requests (CER), coordinate with vendors, develop solutions to address current problems, and ensure implementation at the sites.

Technology Evaluation and Implementation:

  • Plan and execute POC trials to evaluate new technology initiatives. Assess energy-efficient alternative technologies, engage with cross-functional stakeholders, and support their implementation at the sites.

EHS Improvement Projects:

  • Collaborate with the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) department to identify EHS improvement projects at site locations. Address Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) upgrade requirements, create proposals, and support their implementation.

Safety and Automation Upgrades:

  • Upgrade safety and automation levels in ongoing and new processes, including unit operations, material storage, handling, and management of hazardous chemicals.

Cost Improvement Projects:

  • Drive and implement projects aimed at improving costs.

Quality and Process Issue Resolution:

  • Participate in cross-functional teams to resolve recurring quality complaints and process-related issues.

Team Management:

  • Manage a team of process engineers to deliver on the identified projects.
