Alder Research Chemicals R&D labs located at Hyderabad is currently expanding and looking for candidates to fill research chemist positions. The company provides a variety of solutions to support the biotech and pharmaceutical industries across the globe to identify and optimize preclinical candidates in small molecule drug discovery. Responsibilities

  • Work under the guidance of the senior chemist/scientist
  • Fully understand the project scope
  • Utilize modern synthetic strategies to design and execute synthesis of target molecules
  • Set up and organize equipment and conduct the reactions skilfully so that they are run in a safe manner
  • Plan, develop and trouble shoot complex multi-step synthesis
  • Knowledge in carrying out a wide variety of organic laboratory techniques
  • Ability to characterize products of complex structure by independent interpretation of spectral data
  • Ability to work on different projects of varying lengths and complexity
  • Attention to details and to record observations meticulously
  • Attend meetings, share and discuss observations/data, and follow the instructions 


Key Competencies


Technical:

  • Good Chemistry Knowledge and/or a strong technical grounding in Organic Chemistry
  • Demonstrated strength in practical laboratory techniques


Behavioural:

  • Highly motivated and self driven
  • Positive Attitude with good attention to detail
  • Good inter-personal skills – a team player
  • Listening skills and good communication (both written and verbal)
  • Learning mindset - proactively upskills own scientific expertise and that of the team

Qualifications

M.Sc (Organic Chemistry) with experience or Ph.D. Highly motivated freshers are also welcome.
