Role Purpose:


We are seeking an experienced Senior Database Leader to lead our Database Engineering and Analytics teams. The ideal candidate will have a deep technical understanding of database architectures, analytical workloads, and experience in managing production databases. You will play a key role in optimizing our database environments and enabling highly available and scalable data solutions on managed cloud platforms.


Responsibilities we entrust you with

  • Lead and manage the Database Engineering and Analytics teams, ensuring optimal performance and availability of all database environments.
  • Oversee the architecture and operation of production databases, ensuring stability, high availability, and redundancy.
  • Manage OLTP databases such as SQL Server and Postgres, as well as document databases like MongoDB.
  • Architect, deploy, and maintain highly available database solutions with redundancy for critical business systems
  • Manage and optimize OLAP databases for search and data analytics workloads.
  • Lead efforts to deploy and manage databases on managed cloud services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on data analytics initiatives, supporting machine learning projects and analytical workloads.
  • Leveraging cutting edge technology for best-in-class data solution for our customers.


What matters in this role

Experience :

  • A minimum of 15-20 years of experience in the industry, with at least 5 years of direct experience in managing database engineering teams, data lakes, and analytical workloads.
  • Proven experience managing teams responsible for production databases and database architecture.
  • Expertise in managing OLTP databases such as SQL Server, Postgres, and document databases like MongoDB.
  • Strong experience in setting up highly available, redundant database architectures.
  • Proven experience managing OLAP databases for search and analytical use cases.
  • Experience with cloud-based database setups on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Experience in data analytics and machine learning applications.


Skills:

  • Prior experience in Fintech, especially in managing data compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge of reporting solutions and tools for data visualization and business intelligence.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience with Generative AI and databases such as TIDB and Pinot.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders across various functions.
