Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Fashion Designer with Lea Clothing Co. The Fashion Designer will be responsible for creating and designing unique fashion pieces, incorporating embroidery and textiles, and ensuring proper fitting. The Fashion Designer will work closely with the design team to develop innovative and sustainable fashion collections that resonate with our brand's values and target audience.

Responsibilities

  1. Managing design process from conception through to final styling.
  2. Conducting market research to identify new trends, fabrics, and techniques, and seeking design inspiration.
  3. Collaborating with team members to select seasonal themes, make edits to line, and create new concepts.
  4. Ensuring product is in agreement with business strategy.
  5. Selecting and sourcing fabrics and trims.
  6. Creating production sketches for development packages.
  7. Collaborating with pattern master to ensure development packages are accurate.
  8. Reviewing product for style and fit meticulously before shoots.
  9. Presenting story, mood, color boards, and samples to supervisor. Work cross-functionally with marketing and CRM team to constantly improve designs basis customer and market feedback.
  10. Stay up to date on industry trends, latest techniques, and fashion technology.
  11. Meet deadlines and timelines set by supervisor.
  12. Oversee the work of junior designers for quality assurance.

Qualifications

  • Fashion Design and Textiles skills
  • Experience in creating and incorporating embroidery into designs
  • Knowledge of fitting techniques and garment construction
  • Passion for fashion and staying up-to-date with the latest trends
  • Excellent creativity and design skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a design team
  • Degree in Fashion Design or a related field
  • Previous experience in sustainable fashion is a plus
